Title: All Imperfect Things (1/1)
Author: [Bad username or unknown identity: ]
Fandom: RPF (AU)
Pairings/Characters:
Length: ~840 words
Rating: Adult
Summary: BIS Agent Jason Isaacs hates people who think they're above the law.
Disclaimer: Not RL; didn't happen. If you think this has anything to do with the real actors involved, then you really need to put down the crack pipe. Seriously.
Warnings: References to child sexual abuse and suicide.
Notes: This piece can be read as a prologue to my as-yet-untitled Jason/Viggo/Ben/Rob Keptverse series. It was prompted by 's A Kept Boy Outake #1: Cruise. I really want someone to bring her Lord Cruise down, and as I was thinking about it, the Jason who's been kicking around in my head made his opinion known...somewhat vehemently.
For the purposes of this snippet, you need to know that Jason's a senior agent with the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security. As developed by
devilc , BIS is effectively Commerce's secret police. Jason's a bit unusual for Commerce, because while he supports the slave labor system, he also believes that in order for the system to function as intended, the law must be upheld for slaves and citizens alike. He has no patience for the nouveaux riches who believe the law doesn't apply to them.
Jason has two slaves: Ben Barnes, his body-slave (who is not at all the Ben Barnes in
angiepen 's "A Lost Boy" series), and Rob Pattinson, his cook/housekeeper.
The title is a track from Michael Nyman's soundtrack for The Piano.
It was wasteful, and Jason abhorred waste.
